My name is Andres van Vugt, 33 years old, and I will be end-responsible for all ICT at Myngle in the function of Director of Technology. So in short, I will be the DoT in this dot-com ;-). Another ‘cloggy’ (or Dutchman).
For the past 11 years I have been working in ICT and mostly on the web-side of the business. My experience ranges from starting up helpdesks to leading large scale projects as a project manager. You can say I have seen all facets of the business from the ground up. I have worked for companies such as Holland Casino, Sita-Equant, Rabobank, Zonnet and Versatel/Tele2. My last job was at Roxen Internet Software as a project manager /product manager CMS.
The past couple of years my focus shifted more and more from technology towards business itself and it’s needs and requirements. I’m at my best in a dynamic, fast pacing environment where I can build bridges between business driven departments such as sales and marketing and the ICT teams by translating the business plans into functional and technical designs.
But enough about that. In my spare time I have 4 passions:
- My family. I am happily married and a proud father of a 4 year old daughter
- Learning. I continuously read and study whenever I can. Out of work interest, such as different sorts of project methodology (like PrinceII for instance) or out of general interest, such as learning how to play the bass.
