During the first part of our lesson, we spoke about stack ranking, while the second part was dedicated to customer service and vocabulary.

Today we began the lesson by reviewing the key expressions which you read very well. You continued by reading the audio script and working on the related exercises. The script was about an IT trainer who explained the features of a new software to a group. Your reading was smooth, just be mindful when reading plural words, pronounce the final "s" and also make sure to also pronounce the final "ed" in ED words correctly. There are three different ways to pronounce these words and I realize this will come with more practice. Overall though your reading skills and comprehension is very good. You showed excellent skimming skills when you needed to find matching sentences and their questions from the text. You continued with another exercise where you had to make lists outlining benefits and problems you pinpointed about a new company system you read about. This company system dealt with employee performance and also introduced the idea of an employee of the month. We followed with a role play where you discussed the benefits of this new employee system with me and you also compared it to your actual workplace systems, namely, PDR (production bonus) and MBO (management by objective). Very interesting lesson and good job reading and speaking today Giovanni!

During the first part of the lesson we looked at services and systems and you did very well with all the tasks. In the second part, we worked on comparative forms and modifiers which presented a little challenge. We will continue working on this part during our next lesson.

You requested a conversational lesson today due to the fact that you had an appointment to drive to. We had a great conversation about multiple things such as education, immigration, travel, family and work. You express yourself well using proper terms and you pause without using filler expressions when searching for proper words to use. Great job Giovanni!

Today you had a lot of practice speaking by providing short answer responses. You went on to match questions given to the corresponding short answers provided in the exercises too. These exercises were linked to an audio component in the lesson where you had to match previous short answers you read to a sentence that described the purpose of each response. We also followed a flow chart within a scenario given where I asked questions and you gave answers and updates to tasks that you had to fulfill. You successfully used the short answer technique with this exercise also. Great work today Giovanni!
