Great to talk to you, Ana. We discussed developments in the ongoing pandemic and about how people are coping with the situation - or having mass raves in France! Here is a link to that story: https://www.nytimes.com/video/world/europe/100000007530736/france-new-years-rave-coronavirus.html

I thought you did a great job today Ana with how you expressed yourself with your time off with your family. You could detail how the current events were affecting your family. I'm very proud of your efforts in maintaining a good schedule and how you are working, parenting and studying during a difficult time. Please review the website I've included in order to speak about it soon.

Great to talk to you, Ana, about children's learning abilities, dubbing films and series into a foreign language and other topics. Excellent to meet Vera, too!

We had an excellent conversation about how a study at Harvard identifies that making money and want fame often doesn't offer a person happiness. We will discuss further what the study meant for those today who are thinking about their future. Please review the Ted Talk we considered.

Great conversation today Ana! We were able to reconnect using your hotspot after your internet stopped working. We had an action-packed discussion about history and the importance of using a tour guide to have the opportunity of learning more about places. We also discussed how history impacts our lives today. As a reminder-In general, we use 'make' when we build, construct or create something and 'do' for tasks and activities. MAKE: 'Make' is used to talk about producing, constructing, creating or building something new, eg; We're going to do some (medical) tests.     Good to talk to you today, Ana. We somehow managed to remain in the area of health but you learned some unusual words. See you tomorrow.

Excellent to talk to you about transportation in Milan, Ana. It was a far more interesting discussion than it sounds!

We had a great discussion today as to how we can manage the effects of this pandemic and how to beat the fatigue that it causes. We also considered how to advise someone with struggles with work-life balance. Please make a list of things that constitute quality of life for yourself personally and for your family. I look forward to our next class. Here is a great Ted Talk: https://www.ted.com/talks/robert_waldinger_what_makes_a_good_life_lessons_from_the_longest_study_on_happiness?language=en

It was great to talk to you again, Ana. Of course, we discussed the current pandemic and people's reactions to it, and the way it has changed our lives. Next year HAS to be better!

You did a great job with how you described your daily routine, and adjusting to new circumstances with the virus. I also appreciated how you corrected yourself when using the present perfect verb tense, eg; have/has+past participle. We will speak about the Ted Talk in our next class about motivation. https://www.ted.com/talks/dan_pink_the_puzzle_of_motivation
