Thanks for sharing examples of what candidates request and consider non-negotiable these days. It was a good chance to review terms such as 'be allowed to', 'have the right to' when talking about setting expectations regarding work style. You worked out the different connotations with 'predict', 'forecast', 'anticipate' and 'foresee' by using examples. Keep asking questions about vocabulary as this helps deepen your understanding.

Thanks for your time in our last lesson Linda, you offered a lot of suitable advice on how to stay healthy and spoke informatively about your diet and exercise habits. You also did well to recognise a variety of vocabulary related to health and exercise, as well as a couple of proverbs that exist in both English and Italian. You've shown a lot of skill at speaking at length about different topics with a high level of grammatical accuracy, nice work!

Thanks for your time in today's lesson Linda, you spoke informatively and accurately about your current home, the changes you've made to it over the years and other ones you'd like to make in the future. We also spoke about decorating your home with plants and artwork, the advantages of certain garden features and the pros and cons of living in the countryside rather than the city. Finally, we studied a couple of home-related proverbs and a range of vocabulary on this topic. I'll see you again tomorrow!

Thanks for another enjoyable conversation Linda, it was nice to catch up with you again. This time we discussed the topic of change. We began by talking about how your neighbourhood and your fashion sense have changed over the years, before considering some broader subjects such as social changes in Italy and customs you would like to see change in the future. Finally, we speculated on future changes in your life and studied some vocabulary and proverbs related to change. You recognised a lot of new words and phrases quite easily and spoke at a natural speed throughout the lesson, well done.

Thanks for your contributions in our last lesson Linda, you spoke with a lot of enthusiasm and accuracy about crime and the law in Italy, comparing it with other countries such as the UK. We discussed some of the different rules and regulations that exist in both countries and which cities you know to be safer or more dangerous, before studying some vocabulary and sayings associated with crime and the law.
