You explained the most typical reasons why candidates back out of offers and used the expression 'get cold feet'. Keep thinking of situations when this phrase could be used. Good luck with your recruitment activities!

You described a fashion show and fencing culture very clearly with good use of examples and definitions. Keep using idiomatic expressions for creative thinking, such as 'think outside the box' as this is useful for many of the situations and interactions you experience.

We discussed CV writing styles and the details that can be highlighted. It was a good way to brainstorm synonyms to avoid repetition while describing roles and achievements.

We started reading this article on stress management https://hbr.org/2024/01/how-to-stop-dwelling-on-your-stress. Try to use the new phrases in our next class discussion so you can famiilarise yourself with them.

Nice work in our last lesson Linda, you did well to speak at a reasonable speed without many errors and displayed enthusiasm and a positive attitude throughout the lesson. You had no difficulty picking up the new vocabulary about education and school either. We spoke about some of the differences between the education systems in the UK and Italy, before comparing your time at school with that of your children. Have a nice week, I'll see you later!

Thanks for another enjoyable discussion Linda, you gave plenty of useful advice for staying healthy and spoke with great accuracy about how your health habits have changed over time. You also offered suggestions on how to maintain a balanced diet. You seemed to have no difficulty with the vocabulary we encountered, nice work. See you next time!

Thanks for your contributions in our last lesson Linda, you showed a lot of interest in picking up new vocabulary and spoke with a great degree of accuracy. This time we studied some adjectives for describing personality and you explained which ones you'd use to describe yourself. We also talked about which family members you take after and discussed whether opposites really attract. Finally, we considered the effect that background and wealth during childhood can affect a person's personality. You supported your opinions with appropriate reasons throughout the lesson, well done.

Thanks for your time in our last lesson Linda, you spoke enthusiastically and fluently about the flowers you've planted in your garden and how you maintain them throughout the year. We also talked about famous gardens you've visited and the concept of a 'scent garden', as well as how certain plants can thrive in different climates. See you in the next lesson!
