Today we continued work with language to report back on research focusing on how to be persuasive, avoid being negative, avoid commitment and expressing doubts. For homework please complete the three exercises at the beginning of the notes and Exercise 5 at the end.

Melissa, very nice meeting you! You are confident when speaking in English. You are able to find the correct terms and vocabulary depending on the subject being discussed. It was very interesting listening to stories about your travel experiences! We had a varied conversation about so many topics and I could see you were able to switch from one to the other with ease. I fully understand the structure you enjoy for lessons and I think it is key to having a well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of the English language. You'll have to let me know when you use the two terms I taught you in your meetings! Overall, lovely conversation and I hope to continue teaching you in the future!
