BE B2 Unit 9 to page 19. Today's lesson started by listening to clips where people said no using polite phrases. We then worked with tenses, identified the differences between them and used them to demonstrate understanding. We looked at visual information which was supported by an audio explanation, and we commented on it.

BE B2 Unit 9 to page 14 #1. We listened to some audio clips, and you identified the relationship between the speakers. We spoke about the context of the conversations and the level of formality used. In our next lesson, we'll explore how to say no in a polite way.

BE B2 Unit 9 to page 8. It is upsetting to hear about the second wave of Covid sweeping Europe. We continued to work through the theme of New Business and we worked with vocabulary from the text.

BE B2 Unit 9 to page 5 #3. Today we discussed the challenges of starting a new business. We spoke about start-ups and pop-ups, and you added value to the conversation by telling me about your company's pop-up stalls.

BE B2 Unit 8 complete. Today we spoke about the "If" triangle, and we replaced the word "if" with a choice of words. We read and commented on an article and spoke about job satisfaction and staff retention.

BE B2 Unit 8 to page 14 #2. Today we listened to some audio clips where we could hear negotiating taking place. You listened for information and compared it to some notes. We then spoke about making requests at work and listened to conversations where employees requested assistance from colleagues.

BE B2 Unit 8 to page 7. Today we dealt with phrases from an audio clip. It was a good opportunity to discuss new vocabulary and gain a deeper understanding of the phrases. We will continue with page 7 tomorrow.
