Funnily enough, Sergey, I thought I could see a cow also. Anyway, today we talked about Holidays and Tourism. We brainstormed various tourist attractions and which ones you saw/would like to see. We then talked about the countries you had visited and whether or not you were in need of a holiday (you are). Here are some grammar issues that came up: for '100 years ago was the centre of Russia' say '100 years ago it was the centre of Russia'. You sometimes forget either the subject or the verb. Try to remember always to put both subject and verb in a sentence. That's all for the time being. I look forward to another meeting. Bye for now. Stephen.

Hi Sergey. There must be an easy way to apply neuro linguistic programming in an English class... ?!? Anyway, today we continued speaking about hobbies. It was very very interesting to hear about your interests and knowledge (time for me to start reading). Here are some things that came up during the lesson: for 'I choosed the most interesting...' say 'I chose the most interesting...'; for 'my students days' say 'my student days'; intellectual pursuits; chess champion. It was good to speak with you again, Sergey. Today we spoke about Hobbies and Pastimes. We brainstormed why people had hobbies and what different types of hobbies there were. Here are some expressions that came up during the lesson: me: martial arts; to put knowledge into practice; to take up a hobby; stamp collecting; I gave it up; a maze. That's all for the moment. Hello Sergey. It was great to see you again today and yesterday. This is my feedback for the last two classes. Topic: Animals. For 'I visited the swimming pool' say 'I went to the swimming pool', for 'more big/more better' say 'bigger/better', for 'destroyable' say 'destructive'. Present Continuous: at the moment you are forgetting the verb 'to be', so for 'The winter coming' say 'The winter is coming'. New expressions: that's the way the cookie crumbles, to bark up the wrong tree, throw you a bone. It was good to speak with you again. Keep up the good work. Best, Stephen.

Great to see you again, Sergey. Today we finished the topic on English Literature and Books. We looked at how to use the Present Simple to explain a storyline. We also discussed children's books, books and films, and finally Hatchard's bookshop in London. At the moment you need to pay more attention to the formation of negatives. Remember to use 'don't' or 'doesn't' in front of the verb. Here's a good exercise. Find a story on the internet (a fairy tale is fine). Read it but make every positive sentence negative as you read. Today we began the topic English Literature and Books. We spoke about various book genres and why it was important to read books. We then looked at the typical characters, plots, and settings of various book genres. Today my feedback will concentrate on only one grammar error: verb 'to be' - you often use this in the plural form with a singular subject, or you use it in the singular form with a plural subject: for example - for "There was twelve students" say "There were twelve students". It is important that we try to eliminate this error, so I will now correct you every time you make it in class. You're very interesting to speak to and it's great to see someone using my slides to the full. Best, Stephen.

It was great to speak with you again today, Sergey. We spoke about Advertising and covered various topics: cigarettes, shock advertising, subliminal etc. We finished with a case study and the four Ps of marketing. For "I don't get enjoy from smoking" say "I don't get enjoyment...."; for "It was during student's times" say "It was during my student days"; for "I saw that a lot of my friends are smoking" say "I saw that a lot of my friends were smoking". The word "cancer" is pronounced with a soft "c" as in "century". I was really interested in the story about Smirnoff Vodka. I think I will include it in the slides. Thanks again for coming today. Here are some words that came up during our conversation: subscription sites, independent publisher, junk mail, cold calling. For "costy" say "costly"; for "advertise in the Internet" say "advertise ON the Internet"; "keywords", the "key" rhymes with "see" or "be". That's it for the moment.
