We had a general conversation to give Tomohiro some practice with speaking. The fluency is certainly present, with only some problems with pronunciation of cerain letter combinations, such as CL, GL and the letter L in certain words. We spent some time practising the pronunciation of these.

Thanks for taking a lesson with me today. We tried our best to use the exercises from the book, but it was a bit tough since you don't have yours yet. You did well nevertheless. We should move on to Unit 2 next time.

Tomohiro uses a wide range of structures and expressions to convey his ideas but with minor inaccuracies such as the omission of articles, inconsistent use of plurals and modals. He would benefit from more speaking practise to develop fluency and improve his pronunciation.
