I provide group and one-on-one class sessions to various learners on a freelance, part-time basis; these are mainly for adult & Business English classes.
I am a kind, reliable, and patient instructor. I like to encourage my learners to speak as much as possible without the fear of making any mistakes, as practice makes perfect! I also like to form a good relationship with my learners and I get great satisfaction from helping them in their journey with the English language. I have had very good feedback from my learners and I like to challenge them to try and correct themselves when I point out small mistakes using hints and clues.
I hold a Cambridge certificate in teaching English as a foreign language, CELTA. In addition, I hold a ‘Teaching English Online’ certificate from Cambridge English. I am also studying part-time for a TESOL Master of Science (MSc) with the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
I have been instructing English since 2008 doing various roles in China, Korea, the UK, and online. But more recently, I have been instructing debate and Business English to learners in Seoul, Korea.
Earlier in my working life, I assisted a commercial bank manager in west London, working as a Portfolio Manager. I looked after around 65 - 70 clients and I assisted my manager in growing income. I found banking solutions for a variety of different businesses. I also dealt with banking issues and requests of commercial clients. This experience has helped me to instruct Business English better, in terms of relating it to real-life situations.
I am also a mYngle certified Blended Learning trainer.
