I grew up in the scenic province of Alberta, Canada. I enjoy outdoor sports, painting, and traveling. I love learning languages and teaching them. I like to write children's books for my nieces and nephews and have also written cookbooks for personal friends. I am technically an introvert but I love people and places and culture. Teaching English to people around the world is like traveling without leaving my home. I love to learn from my students as well as see them grow and reach their goals and career milestones.

I have been teaching English and tutoring for 10 years. I have been involved in online teaching for the last 6 years. I have extensive experience working with business professionals. I especially enjoy helping my clients focus in on the areas of grammar and language that they need to improve in and customizing the lessons for their personal improvement and advancement. I lived in the Dominican Republic for over ten years doing volunteer education work. This included teaching people to read and write in both Spanish and English. I learned to speak Spanish fluently which really helps me to understand the challenges faced by language learners. I also work as a freelance translator. I have translated a website and technical documents from Spanish to English. I am also involved in a volunteer education work that includes public speaking.
