After describing some pictures , we read a short passage on the rights things to say and do in English - speaking countries - the student found it very interesting

After a short exercise where the student had to invent some true sentences about himself , we talked about the importance of grandparents in our society -the student talked all the time, giving some interesting cues

We talked about keeping pets in a flat and the advantages and disadvantages of different kinds of animals - at the end we made some considerations about keeping animals enclosed in cages or giving them as presents

Unfortunately the classroom didn't open so we had our lesson in Skype - we read a passage about Barack Obama thus we got prompts for a conversation about the present situation and the role of women in society .. the student managed to express his ideas clearly using the simple structures he knows

We read a passage about the Grand Canyon : in this part of our course I think it is important to learn more about some features of the USA , which the student seems to find interesting , while at the same time we continue on our work on grammar and speaking

We had a revision lesson about the future and the passive form and an exercise about the history of blue-jeans : the student needs to practise to get the necessary fluency in "thinking directly "into English

Today we had: a revision lessons on the latest structures we studied : the contrast between Past Simple , Past Continuous and the Passive Form - we also read a short passage about Washington DC that the student found quite interesting and which made things more clear for him

After a further revision on the Past Continuous , we started a new structure , the Passive form , which is easy but in the Progressive form is quite unusual for the Italian speaker
