Happy Bird-day Myngle! Myngle is 1 year old!

Dear Mynglers,

today is a celebration for all of us Mynglers, as Myngle is passing its first year of life!

So much has happened in this one year… so many adventures, learning, improving, changing, listening, laughing, sometimes screaming at each others (but very little), mostly really valuing each other… respect, pride, support, encouragement, holding hands all together even if only virtually, reaching each other from the most remotes corners of the world. Because Holland is not far away, Philippines is not too far from Egypt, and England from Brazil, and Italy from France but also not from Indonesia, or Kenya, or Sweden, or India… We are all together.

So much we have already shared, so much still in front of us to discover. A promising future is awaiting in front of us. This is my commitment to you: that we will not give up our dream, and I will guide Myngle towards its future, Myngle team will build it to success, Myngle community will nurture it and help evolving.

Also, I think that to represent the true spirit of Myngle, what can be better then all this seen through the eyes and heart our passionate community members?

KlaraSo I would like to publish here below a very sweet mail Klara wrote for Myngle’s bird-day.
I think that reflects a lot of the spirit many of us share.
This is what Myngle wants to represent for all of you.

ONE IN A MILLION

Magandang araw sa lahat, in my language Tagalog or Filipino.
I am Klara, an English and Tagalog teacher at mYngle.
May I tell you about mYngle or why I am still in this company.
MYngle is a very young language company. I think it’s going to celebrate its first birthday of full function sometime this December.

I am one of the pioneers of mYngle and honestly I was a bit skeptical at first but after sometime of analyzing and realizing the mission of this company, I told to myself, wow!…it touched my heart and I was totally sold to it. I tried to surf the net for language companies, but deep in my heart, MYNGLE IS ONE IN A MILLION. Honestly, I couldn’t imagine how mYngle was born. Its innovative skills and foresight for technology in order to reach every corner of the world must be put in history and I’m so proud to be a part of it. Words are not enough to express my appreciation and the awesome feeling for those who made this “Reach-Out Site” a life time and a jewel to keep. I am of course referring to Marina, its founder and the pioneer staff. KUDOS.

May I tell you of a feedback from one of my students, Neilo. Neilo is my student in Tagalog. He comes from UK but he is a Filipino by blood. Through mYngle, he is able to learn his forgotten language. I asked him two questions. First question: How did you find Myngle? And do you know what he said? “Actually, I have been surfing the net for almost a year looking for a company where I could learn Tagalog. Well, I found few but I was not satisfied. I knew some words but I couldn’t learn. I kept on clicking until I found www.myngle.com. When I opened it, great! This is it! This is different! The system is so different and I have never seen like this before!” I told him, “yes, Neilo, mYngle is really different.” The second question: How did you find me? He said,“You were in my mYngle page, so I thought you were as fantastic as mYngle, so….” “Thank you so much Neilo. You added a color to my mYngle life.”

What I am trying to tell you is, MYNGLE IS UNCOMPARABLE. It’s where students learn the language they want comfortably with the teacher they chose to work with.
I had a very funny experience from my first lesson. The page says you may open your classroom two hours earlier. My scheduled time was 6:00 pm and I was so worried that day because I had a tutorial in another school until 4:00 and….gosh..I didn’t know what to do! So, I had to cancel one hour from my tutorial just to catch up 4:00. I opened my PC at exactly 4:00 pm, sat in front of it and stared at it for almost two hours. Oh, boy!….I couldn’t even have a cup of coffee because I didn’t want to miss anything that might appear on my screen!!. Wowowooo., I laughed at my stupid…..? But I was happy because it just reminded me that teachers should never be late in their classroom.

Why is mYngle so special to me? One smart student asked me. “Teacher Klara, what does mYngle mean?” Oh, I was off-guarded. I didn’t expect such question, but I had to be smarter. I told her, “mYngle comes from the word MINGLE, which means to go with. Its founder just changed I to Y because of it special mission. The big Y is branching out and this defines the true meaning of mYngle.…..TO REACH OUT and develop the three important faculties of an individual in the person of our students. These are the HEAD, HEART AND HANDS. mYngle directs the knowledge, the emotions and the hands to help others. For a teacher, these are the most important things I see in mYngle.

The founder of mYngle, Marina and the staff are so accommodating and tactful. Their tactfulness plays a major key in working with different nationalities, that’s why I feel comfortable working with them.
All these are just few of the reasons why I will never give up mYngle. Even when the time comes that I no longer have students to teach here, my heart will always be in mYngle.
I am inviting everyone out there, specially the students, to join me here. It’s a business but there are deeper and bigger meanings behind it. You may go for pure business or you may opt to fulfill your life as an individual because YOU ARE IN MYNGLE. It’s your choice.

Paalam at maraming salamat, po.

    happy bird day!

It’s already been over 2 years since I made the first sketches for the logo and the bird. The bird, called “myngle” was born on the day that the website was launched.
That day was today precisely one year ago.

Myngle team, congratulations to all of you and especially to my girlfriend Marina.
I am so incredibly proud of you!!!

Thank you Martijn, Bart and Helma,

I must say that you three plus my own family were the first ones to believe in Myngle, long ago when it was still only an idea, and to believe in me to be able to bring it succesfully to execution.

Your support has been great, in the first months when I was looking for the right direction all alone, and every time now, when you always encourage me and are my great fans.

And to Martijn: your help, not only emotional, but also practical and continuous has been indispensable for me to be able to brink this magic kite to fly high in the sky. Not many people know, but a lot has been done by you behind the curtains. You are a real Myngler like the core of us.

    Thank you!!

    Marina

Oh myyy! we are 1-year old now! It’s been a short days…. if i recall the hardships, the trials and errors your team had before to make this site a wonderful one….I really appreciate that Tita Klara took the words out of my mouth . What she mentioned above are very true….
I remember i had a first student who was also patience with the tech error of Myngle. She also loved myngle because after the storms in her life, she comes back in good shape…….she prioritized myngle above her job…my dear jasmine30 (Asli). She took classes with me even before going back to her job.
That is the power of Myngle…. Thanks to you dear Marina, my career is also flying high as your myngle…. I am so grateful to everybody…. Danilo, Egbert, Tetyana Elisa and the rest…..of the myngle team…. Even in the offline team… For being so ever supportive…. May God will continue to bless myngle and the team…..
