About Me

Hello! I'm Wilma. Let me tell you about the things I love because if you know these about the person, you can be pretty sure how she is like in person... I love books. I like to read novels, psychology and Christian books, and of course the Bible. I like to read books that let me learn about life, human behavior and emotions. I'm interested to learn more about human beings and how they interact with each other and even to their own selves. I also love relationships- my family, my bestfriends, my colleagues, my students and with the Lord. I thrive in relationships. I like getting to know new people and learn from them.... My students have told me that they learned a lot from me, but I think it is I who have learned more from them. And lastly, I also like to teach. I like sharing what I know. They say the best way to learn is to continue teaching. I agree. I believe that one should do something that he or she is passionate about. That's why I'm here to teach. One day, I dream to teach in a university and write a good book.^ ^ If you are my student, I promise that we'll have great time studying English together. I have been teaching Koreans for 5 years now and so I'm already a bit familiar about your culture. I'm always fascinated about your passion to learn and to succeed. I'm not perfect, but all I can say is I will help you in anyway I can. We'll study English TOGETHER and make it interesting. Studying English, like studying any language should be incorporated in daily life. One should not just analyze and memorize, but should immerse him or herself to it and this is my focus in teaching English.

I first taught at Everybody's Mission Center, a Korean academy that focused on teaching Korean students and missionaries who went and stayed here in the Philippines to learn English. I enjoyed the job that was why I continued to teach there for a couple of years, from June 2003 to 2005. Since I was studying during the day, I thought of teaching Koreans at night would be more convenient, so I applied at an on-line company, CJ Call N Talk, Inc at around June of 2005. I went to nursing school during the day and worked as a part-time English teacher there during the night. After I graduated last year. I worked as a full time English teacher, trained some new teachers about the styles of teaching and did most of the level tests.
