Personal Information |
| Started learning Mandarin 4 years ago with a private teacher (face to face). The concept of the course is that you can't learn Chinese without being able to read and write it also. This proved to be too ambitious since I spent almost a full day of my weekend writing out my homework in Chinese characters. Having a busy work and social life this proved to be too much. I've traveled extensively to China (primarily Guangzhou) for work in 2002 and 2005 and occasionally in between. I've just been appointed to run another project in China hence my interest in beginning to pick up Mandarin again. I work for InterContinental Hotels Group (InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Express) are our key brands in China. |
