Professional Experience
I have a Graduate Diploma in the Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages ("TESOL") and a Master of Education (TESOL).

From February 2008 until July of that year I was the tutor for two topics taught by the Workers' Educational Association of South Australia. One was called Everyday Reading and Writing and the other one Practise Speaking English. The Everyday Reading and Writing one was aimed at native and non native speakers of English. Punctuation, grammar and spelling are covered. This leads to the writing of well-structured sentences and paragraphs. The Practise Speaking English course was for non native speakers of the language who were at an intermediate level. It focused on conversational English for speakers and aims to improve speaking and listening skills. The students were taught Australian colloquialisms and general knowledge. The course focused on everyday conversations needed when shopping, making appointments or at a restaurant. They learnt formal and casual language, and "safe conversation" for social gatherings. The course was about building confidence. I have also done a fair bit of voluntary teaching and some relief teaching. The voluntary teaching has been done both through some ESL conversation classes that occur at a local church and through some general ESL classes that took place here in the city of Adelaide, Australia. Also by paying such a low price for tuition by someone who is as highly qualified as I am, you are getting very good value for your money. Many people who have the same qualifications as I do, would charge more than what I am charging.

I have two postgraduate degrees in the field – one being a Graduate Diploma and the other a Master of Education. I am charging rates that are comparatively cheap ones when you consider the fact that many people who are as highly qualified as I am in the field would charge you more for the lessons. I also have some experience in the planning and delivery of English as a second language (“ESL”) lessons and courses and love teaching ESL. My postgraduate degrees have given me a solid foundation for the teaching of the language. So you would be getting very good value for your money if you were to choose me to be your teacher.
