Professional Experience
I have a Danish teaching degree from a Danish College. I specialized in teaching English as a foreign language and teaching Danish as a foreign language. I also have additional professional certifications in adult education.

Since 1989 I have been teaching in a variety of full-time, part-time, and freelance positions in different countries. I have taught Danish from the elementary school level to the University level and to adults. I have also taught English from beginner level to advanced business English. Most recently I was the Principal of the Danish School of Washington DC where I created and directed the Danish curriculum, supervised the other Danish teachers, and taught Danish classes.

Hello! My name is Mette. I grew up and was educated in Denmark. I have lived around the world since the age of 26. I have lived in England, the United States, Germany, and in the Pacific region. I have taught Danish and English wherever I lived. My hobby is to travel and I have been all over Europe and North America. I have also visited Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Pacific region. It is so wonderful to see the excitement in my students' faces when they begin to understand and speak a new language. That is what makes being a language teacher so special for me!
