I am a native English speaker from the United States. After graduate school, I moved to Mexico where I have lived and worked for over thirty years. I am married to a Mexican and together we have raised four children in a bi-cultural household. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, reading, and watching movies with my family.

Currently a candidate for online certification from the @One Online Teaching Certification program with the California Colleges which follows iNACOL National Standards for Quality Online Teaching, a non-profit international association that facilitates collaboration, advocacy, and research to enhance quality online teaching and learning.

B.A. in American Studies from Reed College in Portland, Oregon and a M.A. in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. I have been involved in language training most of my adult life, having taught English as a Second Language to company executives, as well as middle school, high school and college students. Since 1996 I have run a Spanish immersion program in Cuernavaca. Recently we began offering a “virtual” Spanish curriculum- hence my interest in online learning.
