I am a native speaker of British English who has a relaxed and friendly approach to teaching. I always put the learner's needs first and adapt lessons accordingly. Over the past few years I have taught English to students of all ages and abilities both in the UK and Asia. I have experience of teaching conversational classes, 1-to-1, and preparation for the IELTS exam. I possess a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate and CELTA (B) qualification. My first degree was in Cultural History, but I'm currently studying for a languages degree. As a result I understand how difficult it can be to learn a language and I try to make it easier for you!
Personal Information
I love travel and learning about other cultures and languages which is why I also love teaching English. I'm particularly interested in Asia and have visited China, Japan and South Korea where I spent a year teaching English. In my spare time I enjoy learning languages I am currently studying Chinese and French. I also have a strong interest in art and film and like to bring this into my classes. Cooking is another of my passions as is eating!
