About Me

Hi there! My name is Agneta and I'm originally from Germany. I'm currently living in the southern part of Spain. I really want to take this opportunity to teach online and be part of the Myngle community since I'm graduating from university this year and looking forward to working as a full-time primary school and language teacher! Apart from living in Germany, I spent half of my childhood in New Zealand so I grew up bilingually with German and English. When I talk English, people often ask me if I'm from New Zealand or Australia because of my interesting Kiwi accent. This year after graduating from university I will hold the Spanish title "Maestra con la especialidad en lengua extranjera". This means, I will be able to teach as a primary school teacher, specialising in the teaching of English as a foreign language. This year I'm going to start preparing myself for the Spanish state exams so that I can work as an official teacher at a Spanish state school too.

I've been giving private language lessons from home and also teaching students at their homes for quite some time now. I really enjoy teaching foreign languages. My lessons are based on the communicative approach. I think it's most important to become fluent in a foreign language first and then concentrate on written expression. I'm convinced of the fact that communicative language learning is only successful if students get the chance to practice conversational situations taken from real life. I always consider the individual needs of my students and adapt my lessons to their level.
