About Me

I am Mary Moore, born and raised in San Diego, California, USA. Due to very successful English teaching career, I have been exposed to almost everyone from all walks of life and to all ages. This exposure made me more flexible , understanding and warm . Aside from teaching I also do water color painting focussed on oriental subjects.Other interests are scuba diving, reading, collecting oil burners and scents (including buddhists and Christian candles of different shapes)and writing ( poems, essays, journals). On the serious side, I dream of lofty goals , hit my targets and still find time for enjoyment, friendship and family.

What started as a hobby for a 16-year old teenager is now a flourishing business for a 29-year old lady. In California where there are a lot of Asian and European migrants, teaching English as a teenager was a good way to raise extra cash for some caboodles and gigs. I started teaching an Italian family and from there, my clients had increased day after day and month after month. After college, I did not need to be employed because I was already earning triple than a normal employee though my English teaching. Instead of applying for a job, I decided to hire more tutors to help me out with the growing demand for English tutors. In 2000, I got my first break to establish a tutorial center overseas. With an enterpreneurial minded Korean friend, I put up a small tutorial place in an elite district in Seoul called Seung Pa Gu , while my home based tutorial center back home in California was managed by my mom. In 2002 I had to leave Korea and hand over the management of the Korean center to my partner due to an irresistible offer by a chain of international hotels . With this hotel, I had traveled almost world wide, training its PR department on international communications and English. After one year with that hotel I was faced with a more challenging job of teaching English to dignitaries. But the most exciting thing was training a beauty pageant contestant for Miss Universe. In 2004, I thought of adding another line into my flourishing career by putting up English With Mary Moore, an online institute that offers English teaching. To date, I am CEO of this company but I still do teach directly online. I stay online almost 20 hours a day, 7 days a week. But I don't regret it because most of the students I taught are not only satisfied but contented. To date, I have centers in Korea, Taiwan and Philippines. The latest addition to my career in Myngle. I am almost a month with this language market place and so far I find every student here exciting. I see big prospects in Myngle and so I am here to make the most of what I can do to be of help to a lot of students.
