About Me

Salam I am Egyptian living in Cairo. I have studied English and Arabic Literature. I love reading; this is one of my most important interests. I like reading history, literature especially English novels. I am in love with Shakespeare, Jane Austen, George Eliot, Virginia Woolf and Thomas Hardy. Actually reading helps me to keep up with my students' demands because I deal with different mentalities, nationalities and also because some students need their course to fulfill certain needs related to their studies or work. We all have our own reasons or motivations to study certain language and that is what we are going to discuss in our first meeting. I am teaching Modern Standard and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic for the non speakers for two years now online and offline. I teach also English for the Arabic speakers. I like this teaching because it gives me a chance to be connected with the whole world. I get also a good experience through dealing with different nationalities which make me able to recognise the difficulties that each person from different countries could face in learning the language. I also love to introduce the Egyptian or the Arabic culture and tradition to my students which I believe is very helpful as it is important to know about the traditions and the culture of the people you want to learn their language.
