This course follows the procedures of the Michigan University speaking test Certificates of Competency (ECCE) and Proficiency (ECPE). The first lesson introduces the format to be used. The following nine lessons cover the topics and situational themes that are common to this testing platform. The content of the module as a whole is suitable to further develop the speaking skills for anyone at a proficient level, whether for test preparation or not.

The last lesson of the Module will briefly review the...   more The last lesson of the Module will briefly review the Michigan ECPE Speaking Test format. You will then be given an unspecified task within the format and will be asked to complete the task under mock test conditions. This final lesson will give you a chance to practice all the skills you have been developing throughout the module; paraphrasing, making qualified decisions, justifying your choices and convincingly presenting your selection. By the end of the final lesson you will be in a position to evaluate yourself and the skills you have learned whilst also being able to talk confidently and at length about a range of topics.   less
