Succesfull presentation at Online Educa Berlin

Hi M_profile_33e75ff09dd601bbe69f351039152189ynglers,

For the second time Myngle was invited to present in Berlin. Luckily, the -15 degrees and snow that had not stopped for 2 days, did not keep people from coming and seeing us at Online Educa Berlin. We had a  high attendance of 140%, people where sitting on the floor and leaning against the walls.

This year our presentation was about online blended learning, which turned out to be a hot topic at the fair.

Online blended learning is ” bringing the best of both worlds, the offline learning, where you can get complete individualized lessons with a teacher, built around and for the exact needs of the student, and the asynchronous where you get more flexibility, as you can choose where and when to study, at your own pace”  in our perspective. We explained our case study of Myngle teachers together with the Instituto Cervantes asynchronous AVE material.  Blended learning was one of the major themes discussed and everyone talked about it in different ways. Our presentation had  the answers to many of the questions and worries that other presentors and visitors had discussed in the previous presentations.

One of the very interesting questions was about the material teachers use during the blended lessons; can they make use of their own material or simply work with the material provided for them? Another question was about the concept of “offline” learning and how we were able to define the meeting a teacher online as offline, for many people live online teaching is still something very new.arton670-300x2691

If you are interested in the presentation, or have any more questions please feel free to contact hala at hala@myngle.com.
We believe that that was a great event  to end 2010 and motivate us more toward more improvement and  success for 2011.

    Hi Hala,

It was a great pleasure to meet you at Berlin.

Quite outstanding that I was able to discover you amidst the 500+
speakers at the speakers’ reception. Great that you wore your pink
    headcovering.

Thank you also for spontaneously offering to do a Pecha Kucha.
    Much appreciated.

Online Educa is truly a marvel and a buzz, some 2100 delegates from
    108 countries. AWESOME.

And this year the general mood was a complete upbeat which after
last year’s financial crunch felt a little different.

What a wonderful privilege to have been there and what a heartwarming
experience to have met you in person.

    Rgds Heike

    Hi Heike,

It was such a wonderful surprise to finally meet you Heike in person. I loved the Pecha kucha you arranged and it was different to see it live as well. Maybe next time there will be another one by an Egyptian girl ;).

Online Educa had exceeded all the expectations. As far as I remember 89 countries were expected to participate but despite the bad weather conditions, 108 countries were present. It was great meeting many of them and attending most of the sessions held. The only thing i could not do is to be at 3 or 4 places at the same time to join all of them :).

There was so much to see and learn, but it was so interesting to see the blended learning taking more space this year as well. I think it will be a big hit next year as well.

I truly hope to see you again soon and to be able to spend more time talking with you. May be next time will be in Egypt ;)

So, until then, thank you for your wonderful support, and enjoy all the great and fun activities you do ;)
