Hello Ellen,

You are great!! You are really an inspiration. You seem to conquer the dictionaries of the different languages. You might want to include Tagalog in your list of interests...hahahaha.. I would be very willing to be your teacher..lol.

You know, I have a student in Tagalog who comes from the Netherlands. He is a pilot. Speaking and learning Tagalog is difficult for him, which is understandable, he is determined. One day, we made a short Tagalog speech which he intended to deliver before taking off to Manila. And when he did it....oh, boy!!!....the passengers applauded and some even left short notes expressing their appreciation for speaking a foreign language.

I was so happy for him.

In his small way, he inspired the people entrusted under his care as a pilot by trying to be with them in the same language.

Congrats, Ellen.Keep it up!!!

She has a great story. She seriously considering adding Dutch to her list, given the Dutch heritage of NYC. This project could be never-ending, really. But man, how cool is this...
