Myngle launches its new official courses

elypic-custom-3 Today Myngle launched the first languages and levels of its new online courses.

The courses follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), an objective way of determining the level you are in a language. They were specifically created for online language lessons, where the use of a whiteboard together with the interaction with the teacher create a unique language experience.

Our course planner, Judith Meyer, says the lessons are “shiny, pretty… and designed according to modern educational standards. Every lesson contains at least one realistic dialog or authentic text, and you’ll also study grammar, vocabulary and expressions and have plenty of opportunities to speak the language yourself. No more boring memorization of phrases!  Your teacher will use your native language in order to explain things to you and make sure you progress faster right from the start. As you go on, more and more of the interaction with your teacher will be in the target language, but not before you’ve mastered the necessary words and phrases. Every lesson has clear-set goals to reach, and the basic lesson materials and exercises will help you reach those goals. This way, you can easily see your progress.”

How were the courses created?

l4Following all the requirements of the CEFR, Judith created a lesson plan that contains all the topics needed by the student to reach the level. Lesson by lesson, the student learns by speaking the language in real life situations. The teachers who collaborated with us then created dialogues and exercises based on these plans. In the meanwhile, an instructional designer organized the content in the best way to show all the elements of the lesson in the interactive whiteboard. We created styles for the grammar slides, for the texts and to present different types of exercises. Finally, we checked that the lessons had a good “rhythm” to balance all these elements, to keep the lesson always interesting. And the final touch of a graphic designer polished everything and created a style for the images used.

Students can finally start a program that will lead them step by step from the first words to proficiency in a continuous progress and that everyone can use.

Following courses based on the CEFR,

  • you can sit one of the prestigious exams by the Goethe Institute, the Alliance Française or the like and have them certify that you are indeed at that level – these institutions adapted their exams so that they match up exactly with the CEFR levels.
  • if you who wish to enter university, the language requirements will likely be expressed in terms of those levels as well. It’s a very convenient way of talking about language skills.
  • through a system of “can do” competences needed to solve different tasks in different situations, the framework is well suited to an approach encompassing the complex realities of a work place.

The price of these lessons is also attractive. If you purchase the whole course at once (a 30-lessons package), you will save 25% on the single lesson price.

Surprise everyone with your new-found language skills!
