About Astrid

astrid1Yet another person to be joining the Myngle team :). Let me introduce myself:

Finishing my Masters in business studies last year in Amsterdam and being in school from the age of 5 till 24, I was ready for a new challenge! I left for South America to discover the freedom of backpacking with my two best friends. And what a time we had. So much diversity this continent has to offer but what made it even more special was being able to speak the language of the locals, Spanish or Castellano as they prefer it.

It was then that I realized what learning the Spanish language has brought me till now; friends from all over the world, the enjoyment of living in Granada, Sevilla and Barcelona, and an exchange program at the University Pablo de Olavide. But maybe the most valuable thing: realizing that I love being in an intercultural environment.

When i got back i went looking for a job never thinking that I could find all I like at 1 company. But then i got to know Myngle and this great language learning service together with a high energy, intercultural, intelligent, positive team, open to learn from each other totally suits me. A combination that will make a difference in the world of language learning! I can only say that I am pleased that I can contribute to its success. What I get to do is making sure people will find their way and hear about Myngle so that we can even grow faster then we already are.

I hope that you will all experience what learning a new language can bring you in life!

In the meantime I will keep on traveling and learning the language of my destination on Myngle.

Happy Myngling!
Astrid

    Hi Astrid,

When I was trying to identify the Myngle team, I saw new faces and you were one of them. I asked and Madame Marina was quick enough to tell the new members and of courses she mentioned you.

ASTRID, WELCOME TO MYNGLE and you are right. Your passion for languages and cultures is the driving force that attracted you to this wonderful community. As per your introduction, you love Spanish. Should you have time and intent to have a look at my native language Tagalog/Filipino, you will be surprised that Spanish and Tagalog have many words in common. I will tell you soon..lol.

Enjoy helping us. Again, A WARM WELCOME.
