Hi! Yet another newbie at Myngle…

Who?
My name is Perry van Beek. I’m 38 years old and as Sales Manager at Myngle I will be responsible for looking after the well-being of our valued sales agents. Or at least I will as soon as we start installing them shortly.

Where?
I have lived abroad (which is outside the Netherlands for me) for eleven years of my life. In England, North Wales, Germany and the USA (New York, LA and Orlando) and I have travelled quite a bit for work and for fun. I am very passionate about travel and cross-cultural communication. The most important lesson I learned as a guest in another country is respect and appreciation for other cultures. It has also taught me to speak English, German and French. Italian and Afrikaans are next on my list. Hmm, I wonder where I can learn those languages!

When?
For the past fifteen years I have been involved in international business, mainly in commercial roles. Feel free to check out my LinkedIn profile if you care to know the details.

Why?
Besides travel and languages, I have a number of other passions. First and foremost is my family. I am happily married and have two children (third one arriving very, very shortly). Besides that, I particularly enjoy good food and good wine. I obtained my wine certificate (SWEN2) last year. On the more sportive side, I really enjoy inline skating. I’m proud to say that I completed the Rotterdam Skate Marathon last year.

Myngle is a truly international organization, many different nationalities and cultures are working closely together as a tightly knit team. It’s very inspiring to see and together I know we will succeed in our mission to ‘become the leading online language platform that connects people and cultures from all over the world’. It’s also an amazing experience to work for a Dutch organization where the Dutch are actually a minority!
