Myngle marketplace metrics
Time to share some our findings with you again. The first few weeks of Myngle’s online existence show us the following key findings:
- A total of 4.300 students from 157 countries is willing to learn 98 languages.
- This demand is represented by 7095 student-language combinations (students interested in more languages)
- 51% of students are willing to learn English. Top 10 demanded languages account for 91% of the total demand.
- 8 out of top 10 student countries represent the “developing” world.
- A total of 380 teachers from 52 countries is willing to teach 48 languages.
- This supply is represented by 491 teacher-language combinations (teachers teaching more languages)
- 41% of teachers are willing to teach English.
- Top 10 languages taught represent 83% of the total supply.
Please take note that these findings are based on the first 1,5 months of the lifecycle of the marketplace. But we will keep you updated to see if there is change.
The slide above shows the balance in demand and supply. Keep in mind; The blue part is the number of students exceeding the teachers.
Another interesting finding is that teachers strongly appreciate ready-to-use material via the shared courses functionality of Myngle. Accelerated development of our own proprietary programs to have top 10-12 languages ready as soon as possible, as well as more English templates that teachers can use to translate into their own language.

I am interested in creating Myngle lesson plans for teaching English and understand you are also developing courses in-house.
Does Myngle offer a way for teachers who create quality courses to be remunerated?
I would appreciate even a small royalty that would offset the fee I pay to Myngle for using the virtual classroom.

Hello Gary! Myngle teachers can share their material to other teachers and gain more visibility on the site. In the coming weeks we’ll have the course’s author name publicized with the courses so the more teachers accept your course, the higher are the chances your name will be spread throughout the site and students will be able to easily find you.
Teachers who develop their own material can also work towards building their own language school inside Myngle where they’ll make a percentage of every teacher’s lesson inside the school. This way the school admin will earn money for developing the material and coaching the instructors. To be a school admin, please contact us for more information, available spaces are limited.
