In the spotlight; Introducing ‘Spanish Teacher’
From now on every two weeks we will introduce a Myngle community member to you by putting him/ her ‘in the spotlight’. Community member ‘ Spanish Teacher’ is the first to start the tradition. You can learn more about him or book a lesson with him by going to his profile.
Hello to everyone!
This is Jose Carlos, 28 years old, and born in Málaga, Spain. I guess I have to convince you to read this about me and make you think I’m the teacher you were looking for. :-) I’ll rather let my lessons, experience and teaching method tell you this without any trade of words in between.
I’ve always felt devoted about teaching. First I started teaching music and guitar, then English and French to teenagers, to finally ending up teaching Spanish, what I like and enjoy the most!
My best Spanish teaching experience was in Ukraine, where I was like a 4×4 teacher: I taught in 4 different schools and participated in a lot of events related to Spanish culture, like a concert with me singing on the main street of Kiev, at two flamenco festivals, a conversational club about Spanish music and of course, private teaching, groups, all levels and ages for a year and a half.
I like too many things to name them here! Just take a look at my slides and you’ll find out :-)
Back to Spain I had a course with Germans, and still I keep teaching private students in my city and here on Myngle!
I see a lot of advantages about the Myngle way of teaching. We all know already about some of them: no transportation, a suitable schedule and prices, etc. Some people might not be still convinced about the lack of the traditional “face-to-face” method, but I think this even can be an advantage, since the student pays more attention to the talking rather than the seeing: the space, the decoration or the teacher if he / she’s good-looking :-), etc. And this way, the information sticks to the memory. Also the association of the images with the words is very important, and I think this is not very used in the traditional way of teaching. This concentration of the attention on images and voice is for me very important for a faster assimilation. I hope you get convinced by taking some classes!
I offer a free trial lesson, give it a try! Of course, my class doesn’t work without humour!
¡Hasta luego!
José Carlos Godoy Aguilar.
