Creating the perfect teacher’s profile

Danilo photoHello teachers! You will be able to create your Myngle profile as soon as you receive your invitation through email. Here are some tips you can use to fill out your perfect Teacher’s profile:

Teachers Listing

1. Username: pick a username that identifies you well and is easy for students to remember (using the name of the language taught or the word “teacher” is good). Make it sufficiently specific, in order to avoid confusion with other usernames.

2. Photo: uploading your photo is important, as it gives a face behind the description, which most students really appreciate.

3. Price (for one lesson): Set a reasonable price, especially if you are a new teacher on Myngle. If you do not know what price to set, check other teachers giving similar lessons.

4. Full profile: make sure all the information here is correct, it is crucial for you to place your time-zone, languages taught as well as languages spoken. We recommend offering a free trial lesson for new students, as this will increase your chances of being chosen.

5. Availability: be sure to inform only the hours that you know for sure you’ll be able to teach. Of course, the more hours you are available, the more flexibility for students, therefore a better chance for being chosen.

6. “About me”: a descriptive profile is important as an introduction to your potential students. Describe yourself as a teacher (patient, dedicated, etc.). Write also what you like to do and also some special interests and hobbies. This not only will make your profile more personal but will identify also common areas of interests with the students that could be used further in conversation practices.

7. “Teaching experience”: be as descriptive as possible about your professional experience. Be sure to write:

  • Years of experience,
  • Levels and languages taught;
  • Methodology of preference;
  • Special areas of interest (eg Business Mandarin course, Accounting Mandarin course, etc.);
  • List of other jobs related to teaching is also good.

You can choose to receive our blog updates through RSS or email.

Have fun teaching!

    I can’t find where to put in the levels I teach.

    It would also be good if Native Speaker was on the teacher list.

    Best wishes

    Hi,

    I’m Klara. I would be very happy if Myngle could put up an International Language School to further realize its vision-mission. And I hope that all the registered teachers will be part of it.
